The red version of Le Renard is largely worked in the same way as the white one. Grapes from the Côte Chalonnaise are combined into an attractive red Burgundy, a grape that derives its great class from the special Pinot-Noir grape. The grapes are harvested ripe, but with enough acidity to give the wine tension and freshness. The wine ferments and matures in stainless steel, so that it retains a wonderfully fruity character. A delicious glass of red, with a complexity that is more than remarkable for an ordinary Burgundy.
