A spiced black rum from Trinidad and Tobago celebrating the legend of the giant octopus Kraken.
Kraken rum is a "spiced rum" (arranged rum), produced from molasses rums from Trinidad and Tobago and embellished with spices. It consists precisely of 11 different spices from the West Indies but whose recipe remains secret. After distillation, this rum benefits from aging in oak barrels for 12 to 24 months. At the tasting, we obviously find spicy notes but also more gourmet notes such as coffee or vanilla. This rum also reveals flavors reminiscent of cloves and ginger. You will notice this Victorian-inspired bottle with its two small handles, it is a nod to the old bottles that were found at the time on board fishing vessels.Looking at this bottle, we notice the presence of a giant octopus on the label. This octopus pays homage to the fantastic creature Kraken which, according to legend, in the Middle Ages scared sailors and fishermen in the waters of Northern Europe by its large size.
