Rare means aged for a minimum of 20 years, resulting in very concentrated and sweet wines due to evaporation in the warm cellar conditions. This slow, controlled oxidative process increases the concentration, sweetness and imparts delicious nutty, chocolate, treacle and rancio flavours.
