BARBARESCO 'SERRAGRILLI' MARCHESI DI BAROLO 2019 DESCRIPTION_x000D_ _x000D_ _x000D_ The Serragrilli€ Marchesi di Barolo is a Barbaresco with intense and persistent aromas, which open to a full-bodied sip, in which harmony is never lacking. The tannins are particularly striking, moving on the palate almost subtly, without being too evident, thus facilitating the drinking of this Barbaresco, which despite being young compared to its evolutionary potential, can already be enjoyed with satisfaction. A label that at the table finds its completion with recipes based on red meat and game._x000D_ _x000D_ Barbaresco Marchesi di Barolo Serragrilli€ originates from the pure grapes of an important red grape variety, Nebbiolo. The winery creates this label starting from the vines of this variety grown in the cru that gives it its name, characterized by clayey and calcareous soil, rich in sand and silt. The exposure is towards the south-west and the training method chosen for the vines is Guyot. The must ferments in steel vats at a controlled temperature, with the subsequent malolactic fermentation taking place in glass-lined concrete vats. The final refinement takes place first in both oak barrels and barriques for 12 months, and then, once the bottling operations are complete, continues for another 9 months directly in glass._x000D_ _x000D_ The “Serragrilli” is a Barbaresco that at first glance announces itself with a ruby red color, characterized by reflections that tend more towards garnet. The aromas that envelop the nose tell of a range of complex and layered notes, which from red fruit veer towards spices and earthiness, also bringing out hints of tobacco. In the mouth it is full-bodied, enveloping on the palate, with a refreshing sip and finely worked tannins; it closes with a finish characterized by a savoury taste. A label branded Marchesi di Barolo which, over the years, has always confirmed itself at excellent quality levels, recognized by the main sector guides, not only Italian but also international._x000D_ _x000D_ _x000D_ _x000D_ Colour_x000D_ _x000D_ Ruby red with garnet shadows_x000D_ _x000D_ _x000D_ Scent_x000D_ _x000D_ Ribes and red fruits aromas with spicies, wet earth and tobacco tones_x000D_ _x000D_ _x000D_ Taste_x000D_ _x000D_ Elegant and enveloping of great freshness balanced with a fine tannic verve, of sapid closure
