BAROLO DI SERRALUNGA ETTORE GERMANO 2020 DESCRIPTION
- Ettore Germano's Barolo di Serralunga is the most classic expression of the great red of the Langhe. Following the most ancient tradition of the area, it is born from the assembly of various vineyards and is refined in large oak barrels. On the nose it expresses floral nuances, aromas of small berries, with nuances of licorice and spices. On the palate it has a good structure, with richness and aromatic complexity, which accompany the sip towards a refreshing finish, with great persistence of flavour.
- The red Barolo di Serralunga is the fruit of the great experience and history of the Ettore Germano winery, which since 1856 has managed 6 hectares of vineyards on the Cerretta hill in Serralunga d'Alba, in one of the most prestigious areas of the denomination. It is produced with Nebbiolo grapes that come from the famous crus Prap, Cerretta and Lazzarito, all included in the territory of the municipality of Serralunga d'Alba. Fermentation takes place in steel, with maceration on the skins lasting approximately 3 weeks. The wine ages for 24 months in old 7
- hectoliter oak barrels and completes the refinement process with a further 18 months in the bottle before being released for sale.
- The Barolo di Serralunga Ettore Germano is perfect for those who want to discover the authentic and traditional face of this great Piedmontese red. Produced with an assembly of different crus and aged in large wood, it expresses great balance and elegance. In the glass it presents itself with a ruby red color with garnet shades. On the nose it opens with delicate floral scents of violet, aromas of small berries, ripe cherry, licorice root and faint spicy hints. On the palate it has good structure, with a tannic texture well integrated into the body of the wine, rich and complex aromas and a fresh, harmonious and very persistent finish.
