- Bread stuffed with almond paste and decorated with dried and candied fruits, Stollen is a traditional Christmas cake of very ancient German origin. It dates back to the 1300s when it was prepared as a Christian symbol, representing Jesus in his swaddling clothes.

If the symbol is now obsolete, the tradition continues, the Stollen being a real essential of the Alsatian end
- year celebrations. Its production is done from September to December only.
