Guigal famously put the Northern Rh´ne on the map. Their influence equally profound in the Southern Rh´ne where their C´tes du Rh´ne is widely considered an appellation benchmark. It's predominantly Syrah 50%, with 40% Grenache, 10% Mourvdre. Also, unusually for many C´tes du Rh´ne, it's quite a complex and serious wine. The aromas and palate revealing genuine complexity along with the charm and structure of 18 months oak ageing prior to bottling.
