Grown in Puglia, the heel of the boot of Italy, down south, where the climate is very warm. You get bold, luxurious, characterful reds like this Masso Antico Negroamaro Leggermente Appassite IGT 2021. "Leggermente Appassite" means the wine is fermented with partially dried grapes concentrating the sugar and flavours and giving additional colour and body to the finished wine. Negroamaro is renowned for its dark colour and intense fruit, enhanced by the slight raisining of the grapes which occurs naturally on the vine. This luxurious Masso Antico has mouth coating fine tannins that perfectly compose its rich flavours. This is a whole lot of Red at a very modest price. If youve had the Masso Antico Primitivo youre almost certain to like this Negroamaro, if you are a fan of full
bodied Barossa Shiraz, you should equally enjoy this superb Italian Red.
