Unique white tin gift box with 1 bottle of Ferrari Maximum Blanc de Blanc Brut and 2 Ferrari Flûtes (glasses). The Brut Maximum is a (considerable) step up the ladder of the Ferrari Spumantes. 'Maximum', to indicate that the aim is for a maximum of quality. Like most other Ferrari wines, it is made exclusively from Chardonnay, harvested from vineyards at an altitude of between 300 - 700 meters with exposure to the southeast to southwest, so nicely located in the afternoon sun. Yields are kept limited and the grapes are harvested by hand in September. To make a really nice quality, only the first part of the pressing is used, the rest would give too much vegetality and sharpness. The bottle fermentation lasts no less than three years to create a perfect mousse. A delicious glass, nicely balanced, soft, with a wonderful length and nice acidity.
In the glass, the Ferrari Maximum Blanc de Blanc has a clear golden yellow color with a fine mousse. In the nose we smell nice notes of toasted bread, flowers and yellow fruits, nice and broad. In the mouth, the Ferrari Spumante is nicely dry and powerful with a perfect mousse, beautiful white fruit, pear and peach, citrus, lively, nicely toasted and a very good length.
Ferrari is the sponsor of the bubbles in Formula 1 for 2021. For the first time not a French Champagne but an Italian Champagne so let's hope that Max Verstappen can often spray this Ferrari Spumanten bottle on the podium.
