A complex, tannic and racy wine that reaffirms the elegance of Languedoc wines.
Located in the commune of Claret, 30km north-east of Montpellier, Ch¢teau Lavabre covers some 60 hectares. The vines here enjoy a unique microclimate in a hillside clearing and are grown according to the principles of organic farming.Although the climate on the estate remains Mediterranean, it is much less extreme than in the rest of the Languedoc. The temperature regime is slightly lower and the temperature range between day and night is greater. The water regime is also more important, which allows the grapes to reach optimal maturity for the production of great red wines.
