Urlar means earth in Gaelic and reflects the Thomson family's Scotch heritage. Bought a few years back by a Japanese entrepreneur who is continuing the same commitment and dedication to making icon wines. A biodynamic and organically run vineyard, their Pinot Gris is a seriously complex and oak-aged style, with significant savoury influence to offset the luscious tree fruit flavours. A wine very much aimed at gastronomy, it's complex, rich, and dry.
