The Quartz Reef Blanc de Blancs Methode Traditionnelle is an exceptional release, it marks itself as possibly New Zealand's greatest Methode Traditionnelle to date and is the 'crown jewel' in their sparkling collection. Winemaker Rudi Bauer was one of the first proponents of biodynamic practices and continues to be a leader in the field, his wines are as hands-off (wild fermentation, minimal intervention etc) as the they are hands-on (handpicked, hand riddled and disgorged). This very special vintage 2015 Methode Traditionnelle spent an incredible 60 months on lees (many big-brand Champagnes are only aged for 18 months) before being disgorged by hand in Spring 2020 - with only 4000 bottles produced.
