Starward Distillery located in the Heart of Melbourne can now claim bragging rights as being Australia’s most awarded Distillery – having won 12 Double Gold and 3 Golds at the 2022 San Fransisco World Spirits Competition. Just like Tawny #1 this expression was fully matured in ex-Tawny (Port) barrels, both fresh and charred, unlike #1 a portion was also aged in puncheon and hogshead barrels – giving more nuance and complexity. This is great sipping whisky and will offer the drinker notes of dried fruit, Christmas cake, fig and orange – balanced with palate sweetness of brown sugar and nutmeg.
