Salon Rouge Domaine Gilbert 2020 is a fresh and fragrant Pinot Noir made from grapes grown biodynamically on Kimmeridgian soils, which give the wine elegant minerality. The nose expresses intense aromas of small red fruits accompanied by delicate balsamic and herbal nuances and is an excellent accompaniment to roasted meat dishes, fatty fish or, if you wish, a piece of dark chocolate!

Domaine Philippe Gilbert Menetou
Salon Rouge is a Pinot Noir with an irresistible fruity texture, made in the Loire Valley through an absolutely genuine production spirit. In fact, Domaine Philippe Gilbert applies the dictates of biodynamic agriculture, of which it has also been able to boast the certification since 2007. This agronomic approach aims to promote the health of plants and soil through the use of preparations of vegetal, animal or mineral origin, also taking into account the rhythm of celestial bodies. An intimate relationship is thus established between man and nature that leads to a harmonious coexistence, with consequent mutualistic benefits.
The Menetou
Salon Domaine Philippe Gilbert Rouge originates from pure Pinot Noir grown according to certified organic and biodynamic regimes. The plants that provide the grapes for this label are over 30 years old and rest on sedimentary soils of clayey
calcareous matrix, dating back to the Kimmeridgian period. After the harvest, the bunches are transferred to the cellar and almost completely destemmed, with the subsequent alcoholic fermentation that occurs spontaneously in 90 hectolitre truncated cone
shaped wooden vats, combined with 3
4 weeks of maceration on the skins. Maturation takes place for the first year in the same truncated cone
shaped vats and for a further year in cement tanks before the final bottling.

Salon Rouge by Domaine Philippe Gilbert has a bright ruby red colour. From the glass emerge clear hints of ripe red fruits combined with light spicy, balsamic and aromatic herb hints. The sip, full and juicy, reveals fine tannins and a pleasant freshness, supported by a pleasant mineral vein on the finish. The advice is to serve this Pinot Noir at a cool temperature, so as to enhance its exceptional juiciness.
