The Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Poissenot comes from the coldest (cool) located premier cru in the municipality of Gevrey-Chambertin with about 80% active calcium and only 20 centimeters of soil. This gives the wine fantastic acidity and a serious mineral character. In the nose a pallet of scents of red berries, potpourri and herbs. In the mouth it is medium to full bodied, elegant and supple with melting tannins, spicy acidity and an intense salty mineral aftertaste.
