One of the truly great French wines
This Pommard is produced by a family vineyard near to Beaune in Burgundy. The vines used to produce the Pinot Noir grapes are nearly 40 years old, and grow in a lime-rich, clay soil. No chemicals are used to maintain the vineyard and the grapes are harvested by hand, before being pressed, bottled and aged on the domaine.The dense tannins present in the wine work particularly well with game, red meat and strongly flavoured cheeses.
