- The name "Clos de l'Ecu" probably comes from the Middle Ages: this clos allowed the owners of the time to pay the royalty they owed to the Dukes of Burgundy.

The Clos de l'Ecu is the Domaine's monopoly and was acquired in 2003. It is planted with old vines, the oldest of which date back to 1948, and has a surface area of 2.37 hectares.
