Here's an appellation d'origine contr´le for an exceptional Muscadet Svre et Maine sur Lie, made from vines that are at least 100 years old. It is called "Comte Leloup du Ch¢teau Chasseloir", the name given to the family who owned the estate during the French Revolution. The vines used to produce this Muscadet come from a very specific plot of land, located just in front of the Ch¢teau in question.
