Everything Rockford makes turns to gold, only this time its white gold. White Frontignac, a pioneer Barossa variety, has seen it survive over 150 years of boom and bust, plus several changes in customer taste. The Rockford Frontignac is made in a style that faithfully reflects their Krondorf vineyard, and a small parcel of northern Barossa fruit from the Hoffmann family. White Frontignac is the earliest variety harvested each year. In the vineyard, as the berries gently ripen, the acidity softens and flavours increase, and where they taste of crunchy new season green apples, with intense aromatics of sherbet and blossom. After a near perfect growing season, the 2022 vintage gave perfectly balanced sweetness and acidity levels at harvest. The wine is incredibly aromatic, with crunchy acidity and a hint of residual sweetness. Its also versatile as a great match with many different styles of foods and all the while holding its signature low alcohol in great balance.
