The vineyard is situation at 700m above sea level on a high, remote plateau in Ribera del Duero, located in the greater region of Castilla y Leon. This high altitude provides unique climatic conditions of hot days and cool night, allowing the grapes to become beautifully ripe, developing perfume and flavour, supported by a wonderful tannic structure and a fine acid backbone. Unico is the top label and by comparison Alion offers a more modern, elegant style out of 100% Tinto Fino (Tempranillo). The wine is aged in 100% new French oak barrels, combined with the modern style, and where the wine shows a strong alignment with Bordeaux. Alion regularly scores 95-96 points and is one of the highest scoring Spanish wines, as well as offering incredible value for money. This is a must try especially for those who love Spanish wines, like we do
