Taylors Pass vineyard is considered one of the crown jewels in the Villa Maria portfolio. A vineyard where all it grows is gold; Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Situated on the northern banks of the Awatere Valley where typically the Awatere is cooler and windier than the Wairau Valley due to its close proximity to the ocean. Taylors Pass however is sheltered resulting in a warm meso-climate, perfect for ripening each and every one of these varieties. This 2019 Chardonnay highlights the class of this vineyard, producing a pure, focused, and mineral style which will age for 6-8years+
