Chateau Clerc Milon, situation in the northern part of Pauillac, a Fifth Growth in close proximity to Chateau Lafite Rothschild, suggesting an excellent terroir. Bought by Baron Philippe de Rothschild in the 1970’s and from then on the improvements have been nothing short of miraculous, renovating the vineyard and winery, creating nothing short of a new super-star 5th Growth. The vineyard is planted with 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 36% Merlot, 11% Cabernet Franc, 2% Petit Verdot and even 1% Carmenere, almost lost in the world of Bordeaux today. Now making some of the best wines in its history. A definite addition to any great cellar.
