The grapes for this Champagne mainly come from the following municipalities/Cru's: Aÿ, Bouzy, Ambonnay, Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, Villers-Marmery... Gosset uses only the best Crus from the Marne district with an average rating of 95% on the official quality scale. The dosage for the Grande Reserve Brut is 8 grams per liter. Malolactic fermentation is deliberately avoided, in order to retain as much primary fruit as possible in the wine. The wine is kept in the cellars for at least 3 years before disgorgement takes place.
The Grande Reserve is a blend of 43% Chardonnay, 42% Pinot Noir and 15% Pinot Meunier. The Grande Reserve Brut is the signature of Champagne Gosset. It is the true expression of what Gosset should radiate, according to Jean Pierre Mareigner, the cellar master. The nose has a dominant scent of fruit combined with refreshing notes. The attack is creamy and soft. The Chardonnay provides the fruitiness, while the Pinot Noir is responsible for the structure of the wine. In short; subtle and a classic character!Score_x000D_
