The vineyards are located at an altitude of 350 meters on sheltered terraces. The soil consists mainly of clay and chalk. The cuvee is composed of cinsault, grenache, syrah and rolle. Rolle is the same grape variety as the vermentino known in Italy. 10% of the wine was aged in old wooden barrels to give the wine character and creaminess.
