The Brut Imperial is composed of around 150 different wines, extracted from chardonnay, pinot noir and pinot meunier and from all parts of Champagne. It is a champagne without a harvest year, because the assembly also contains an important part of the reserve - beautifully aged wines from older years. Brut Imperial refers to the pleasantly dry taste (Brut) and to Emperor Napoleon's long-standing preference for Moët & Chandon champagne (Imperial, the perfect combination of alcohol, sugar and acids).
