The 2018 Shiraz Magill Estate aged in 100% new oak (70% French and 30% American), which has left its cedar, vanilla mark on the wine, but in a balanced, harmonious way. It's a full-bodied wine, with big berry fruit and lush oak, but those components are beautifully judged, coming together in a fine, elegant wine. The Magill Shiraz is extremely scarce and the 2018 gets 90+ points as always from Parker, Suckling and Wine Spectator. Give the wine some air before drinking (decanting is recommended), which will soften the firm tannins!
