Elvio Cogno is located on top of Bricco Ravera, a hill near Novello in the Langhe area of Piedmont. This is one of the eleven municipalities where Barolo is produced. The cellar is located in an 18th century manor house, the farm is surrounded by 11 hectares of vineyards. The Cogno family has been making wine in the Langhe area for 4 generations. The history and tradition were passed down by father Elvio and the innovation was introduced by his daughter Nadia and her husband Valter Fissore. They only grow native grape varieties: Nebbiolo, Barbera, Dolcetto and Nascetta.
