The La Poza de Ballesteros of Artadi is pure Tempranillo from a 3.6 hectare vineyard planted in 1960 in the village of Elvillar. The destemmed grapes ferment in open wooden vats and stay in French oak barrels for 14 months. The vines on this terroir can root deeper, the vines are old and the microclimate is more Mediterranean. The domain is located opposite the (Artadi) Valdegines (the two vineyards are separated by a small river). La Poza de Ballesteros is east-facing and receives the midday sun, which ensures that the grape ripens earlier. Very intense cherry color. Aroma prima cocoa, sweet spices, creamy oak, ripe fruit, chocolate. Powerful, tasty, meaty, creamy, spicy taste. In the glass, the fine has a beautiful dark red color. The wine has a wonderful freshness and optimal acidity. We distinguish bay leaf, tabac, black pepper, chocolate. As with all Artadi wines, it is a powerful, somewhat fleshy wine with a beautiful, almost creamy and spicy, very long aftertaste.
