When Giovanni Allegrini decided in 1979 to plant only Corvina grapes at the top of La Grola, motivated by a great passion for his beloved Valpolicella, he had no idea of the extraordinary success this wine would achieve. the perfect microclimate on this plateau of about 3 hectares, whose white limestone surface sparkles in the sun, yields the best grapes that the Valpolicella can produce, to make this extraordinary and iconic Allegrini cru. The Corvina ages for 20 months in new Allier barrels and then 8 months in large Slavonian oak barrels to mature and then another 10 months in the bottle.
