Château Lascombes is a Deuxième Grand Cru Classe from Margaux. This cru, which was owned by Colony Capital, has been owned by MACSF (Mutuelle d'Assurances du Corps de Sante Français) since 2011. The new owners are continuing the work and the style. The 2020 vintage is a blend of 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot and 5% Petit-Verdot. The Lascombes 2020 is a deep garnet purple in color. In the nose, notes of mainly black currants and blackberries, but also spicy notes plus hints of bay leaves and undergrowth. Full, richly fruity and loaded with ripe black fruits and earthy suggestions, it has a solid base of firm, grainy tannins and the finish is long and savory.
