The Ruinart rose is only made from grapes from Premier Cru vineyards: 45% Chardonnay and 55% Pinot noir. Of the Pinois portion, 18% vinified as red wine. After the manual harvest, the grapes are fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks and undergo biological acid degradation. The final cuvee is created from an assembly of several vintages, 20-25% are Vins de Reserve from the previous 2 years. The dosage is 9g/l. The color is deep pink. Subtle and fine nose of red fruit such as strawberry and currant and in the background even some blackberries. In the fragrance we find clear notes of red fruit. Very rich fragrance! The nicely balanced taste is fine, soft and subtle.
