Boggina is the oldest and best Sangiovese vineyard of the Tuscan winery Petrolo. The vineyard was planted in 1951/1952. Boggina C Riserva is 100% Sangiovese and can be seen as the most beautiful and purest Sangiovese that Petrolo has to offer. The PetroloVal d'Arno di Sopra Riserva Bòggina C reveals a dark and slightly evolved bouquet that builds on the mature and concentrated personality of this classic vintage. Dried cherries and black currants are followed by roasted spices, tarry smoke and leather. The tannins are polished and smooth and the wine has a generous, medium-bodied approach.
