Le Stanze is made from a special selection of cabernet sauvignon grapes from the best located parts of different vineyards, supplemented with a little bit of cabernet franc. It matures for twelve months in new 500 liter French oak barrels. As with the Elegia, the qualification Toscana IGT has been chosen. Only cabernet sauvignon is not allowed for wines with a DOC or DOCG. In an IGT, the oenologist is free to use as much cabernet sauvignon as he wants. This creates a wine with its own style. The recognition among the international wine press and enthusiasts shows that this is a bull's-eye. So this is called a Super Tuscan.
