With its 24 Ha, Chateau Ferrière is one of the smallest Grand Cru Classes of the 1855 classification. The terroir, located in Margaux, has been owned by the Villars-Merlaut family since 1988. The wine of the same name is their first wine which they age on 40% new French oak, 40% on first year oak d and 20% in (clay) amphorae in order to obtain and maintain the optimal fruit expression.
