Jean-Nicolas Meo is widely regarded as one of the very best producers of red Burgundy. His wines have a unique style. They possess a sensual velvet structure, complexity, richness, depth and an enchanting perfume. They are strongly reminiscent of the wines of the recently deceased Henri Jayer (according to many the greatest winemaker in the modern history of Burgundy). This is not surprising, Jean Meo learned the trade from Jayer and he was associated with Meo-Camuzet as a consultant for a long time.
