The Sylvain Morey Bourgogne is a Pinot Noir supplemented with a little Gamay. Sylvain Morey has a plot on 'Les Grandes Corvees' where he has old sticks from Gamay and Pinot Noir. When old Gamay vines die, they are replaced by Pinot Noir. Both grapes are picked and fermented together. In the glass, the Morey has a ruby red color with fragrant aromas of red fruit on the nose, accompanied by hints of undergrowth. On the palate, the wine is structured and balanced with a lively tension due to the fresh acidity. A good find at this level.
