The Cap Maritime Pinot Noir from Boekenhoutskloof has wild cherries, dried herbs such as rosemary and thyme, ripe plums, musk and a light smoke tone in the nose. In the mouth, the wine is structured, still relatively tight with beautiful tannins, making the wine very promising for the future. For the 2019 Pinot Noir, 40% of the harvest is fermented in whole bunches in concrete eggs, the remaining 60% is pressed and partly fermented and aged in barriques (50% new) and a smaller part in 600 liter foeders.
