The Allimant-Laugner Pinot Gris AOC Alsace or the Pinot Grigio as the Italians call it is a 100% Pinot Gris and this Pinot Gris Vendanges Tardives comes from a great vintage for sweet wines. This Pinot Gris Vendanges Tardives 2015 combines fresh and lemon-scented overtones with spicy/peppery notes and aromas of almond and smoked bacon. Rich and round on the palate is a full, salty and quite sweet but bright, fresh and tense Pinot with fine tannins that carry the voluptuous and concentrated fruit. This is an extraordinary Pinot Gris that was bottled. 94/100 Parker with a drinking window up to 2045+
