The Manzone Barolo Serralunga comes from the younger vineyards in the cru Meriame in the comune (municipality) of Serralunga d'Alba in Barolo. The vineyards are located at an altitude of 350 meters and are oriented to the south/southeast. The soil consists mainly of clay and limestone. The vines are about 25 years old. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. Subsequently, the wine matures for 24 months in wood, of which at least 60% in large barrels of Slavonian wood (3,000 litres) and the rest in French tonneaux (350 litres).
