Sota Els Angels is one of the most exciting new projects in Emporda produced by the daughter of the late Jesus Polanco (one of Spain's media magnates) and her husband, with technical advice from Fredi Torres from the Priorat. A unique winery with very nice wines that operates completely organically to the point of fanaticism. Small scale, scarce and very beautiful. Parker therefore writes in his review about Sota Els Angels as "A name to Watch" The 8 hectares of vineyards of Sota els Ãngels are located in a hilly area. At the top of the hill, the brittle slate slopes are very steep and challenging to cultivate. The gradient levels off to about 7% in the lower sections. The terroir consists of a mixture of silt, sand, clay and silica. In this acidic soil you will also find large amounts of iron and magnesium that contribute to the mineral aspect of their wines. The vineyards are cultivated in a biodynamic way.
