The 17-hectare Weingut Münzberg is located in Landau in der Pfalz, near the French border in Alsace, about 40 km northwest of Karlsruhe. The relatively small domain produces only about 120,000 bottles per year. Since the purchase of the first vineyard by founder Jakob Kessler at the end of the last century, the domain has been owned by the Kessler family. Today, Gunter Kessler is in charge. The winery also owes its name to the discovery of a Roman coin in its top vineyard. These are very gastronomic wines with a Burgundian profile.
