The Laimburg Oyèll Alto Adige Oyèll Sauvignon Blanc Riserva comes from the vineyard Burgfried Schloss Tirol mit "Putzngütl" located at an altitude of 600 meters and is around 4 Ha in size. The name Oyèll comes from ancient Sagas of the Dolomites and means: Lady of the Pale Mountains. This is a typical Alto Adige wood-aged Sauvignon blanc (hence Reserve) famous for its beautiful acidity and its beautiful aging. The wine has had an average of 8 months aging in oak barriques and then bottle aging for some time. The Laimburg Oyèll has a light straw yellow color with green reflections in the glass. The aroma is pronounced and distinctive with notes of figs and currants. On the palate the wine is very mineral and slightly salty and is very well structured and complex with stimulating acidity. This is how an Alto Adige Sauvignon Blanc should be!
