The Ossian Verdling Trocken is pure Verdejo produced in a Riesling trocken style with the help of renowned Rheinhessen winemaker Klaus Peter Keller. The Ossian Verdling is colored light yellow in the glass with green hues that indicate the youthfulness of the wine. The nose is a bit subdued at first and seems shy, but with time the aromas are released of grapefruit and lime, balsamic and bay leaf. The taste is fresh and accurate with wonderful acidity. This is a groundbreaking wine and shows what can be achieved with Verdejo in a cold vintage. Awesome!
