Cultivated on the slopes of the Isle valley where the vine has been growing for over 500 years, the vineyard of Ch¢teau Grand Fran§ais is located in the northern part of Saint Emilion. Facing south, the vines enjoy a perfect exposure which gives Ch¢teau Grand Fran§ais all the elements of a typical Libourne vineyard. This gift of nature is put to good use every day in the service of a traditional know-how handed down from generation to generation.
In 1999, the process of conversion to organic farming was initiated. At Grand Fran§ais, healthy fruit is a necessary, but not sufficient, prerequisite for making a great wine. The criteria for preserving the soul of Ch¢teau Grand Fran§ais are elegance combined with impeccable quality.
