Mas del Pri is a property located in the Cahors AOC (Appellation d'Origine Contr´le). In 2006, Fabien Jouves took over the family estate and immediately converted it to organic farming, obtaining the label in 2009. Fabien Jouves also works with biodynamic methods and advocates a natural and living wine, made from the fermentation of the grapes alone.La Roque is one of the estate's terroir wines, made from a selection of plots. A 100% Malbec (Cot), the emblematic grape variety of Cahors, planted on stony clay-limestone slopes. The grapes are harvested by hand and the vatting period is relatively short, followed by a period in barrel for several wines. The vinification is natural and the wine is neither fined nor filtered. The sulphur level is less than 30mg/L.
