- Amour represents the northernmost cru of the Beaujolais territory, located on the border with the M¢connais area. From a pedological point of view, the Saint
- Amour cru presents a rich variability of soils ranging from granite to volcanic rocks, passing through limestone and clay. According to legend, the evocative name "Saint
- Amour" comes from the soldier Roman Amor, who, having converted to Christianity, took refuge in Gaul to escape the massacres.

- Amour is made with only Gamay grapes grown within the "La Folie" plot, between the 12 official lieu
- dits of the Saint
- Amour cru. The vines, with an average age of 50 years and managed according to the principles of organic farming, are exposed to the east, rooted in ancient stony soils of alluvial origin. When the grapes have reached full ripeness, they are harvested manually in crates, followed by the spontaneous alcoholic fermentation of the must in contact with the skins. Once the fermentation process is complete, the liquid is left to age in oak barrels for 12 months before bottling.
