PICOLIT DARIO COOS 2020 - 50CL DESCRIPTION_x000D_ _x000D_ _x000D_ The Picolit by Dario Coos is made with the most precious native vine and renowned in Friuli Venezia Giulia. It is produced in the northern area of the Colli Orientali, near Nimis, on the classic soils composed of sandstone marl and limestone, the famous flysch "ponca" in the Friulian dialect. The Picolit vine produces few grapes, with sparse bunches and grapes of an extraordinary aromatic density. The drying process that precedes the vinification concentrates sugars and aromas, making the grapes particularly rich. This creates a nectar of extraordinary elegance, perfumed and intense, to be brought to the table at the end of the dinner with dry pastries or with a platter of aged or blue cheeses._x000D_ _x000D_ The Picolit passito is one of the finest excellences of the Friulian winery Dario Coos. A wine that represents the history and tradition of the territory, a true symbol of identity and pride of the Colli Orientali region. This is an ancient vine, difficult to grow due to its low yields, which has survived precisely because of the extraordinary quality of its grapes. In the Nimis area, it has found the cool climate and the soils suited to achieving excellent quality levels. The Its fame is mainly due to its refined elegance and the perfect natural balance between sweetness and lively freshness, capable of making the sip harmonious and never cloying._x000D_ _x000D_ The Picolit dessert wine by Dario Coos is produced with the grapes of the best bunches selected directly in the vineyard, then left to dry on the racks of the fruit cellars. At the end of the partial dehydration process, a slow fermentation takes place in first passage barriques. Before bottling, the wine rests for 12 months in barriques first step. In the glass it presents an amber color with bright and luminous golden reflections. On the nose it recalls delicate scents of orange blossom, white flowers, intense aromas of apricot, peach, candied fruit and acacia honey. On the palate it is soft and enveloping, with an intense and persuasive sip, which gently extends towards a fresh and balanced finish._x000D_ _x000D_ _x000D_ _x000D_ Colour_x000D_ _x000D_ Bright amber with golden shades_x000D_ _x000D_ _x000D_ Scent_x000D_ _x000D_ Intense scents of orange blossom, incense and acacia honey, mild apricot in syrup_x000D_ _x000D_ _x000D_ Taste_x000D_ _x000D_ Incredibly smooth, a great full body, creamy, balanced and fresh

The Picolit by Dario Coos is a passito wine, whose grapes grow on Friulian "ponca" soils and are left to dry on racks, as tradition dictates. It carries out the alcoholic fermentation in barrique, in which it stops for the refinement phase for a whole year, subsequently improving in the bottle. The notes of honey and apricot in syrup leave room for a persuasive minerality and hints of incense, with a persistent sip, particularly full and fragrant
