- NEBBIOLO PIO CESARE 2021 DESCRIPTION
- Nebbiolo is a Piedmontese red grape variety that is difficult to grow and, during its development, requires particular care and attention in order to express its full potential. The Pio Cesare winery, from the height of its experience that has seen it as an absolute protagonist in the Langhe area since the end of the nineteenth century, works this grape in an impeccable manner, always giving life to products of excellent quality. This Nebbiolo confirms the rule, showing itself with a balanced and harmonious profile, in which the drinking experience gives a smooth and characterful wine.
- The Pio Cesare winery creates this Nebbiolo Langhe DOC starting from the grapes of the same name located within the various vineyards owned, included around the areas of Diano d'Alba, La Morra, Collaretto, Serralunga d'Alba and San Rocco Seno d'Elvio. Only the best bunches are selected during the manual harvest, and, once in the cellar, the grapes ferment in steel tanks at a controlled temperature, slowly macerating for about twenty days. This is followed by the refinement phase, which lasts two years and is carried out both in oak barrels and in barriques.
- The Nebbiolo from the Pio Cesare winery presents itself to the visual examination with a light and delicate ruby red, characterized by slight garnet reflections in the nail. The set of aromas that alternate on the nose is subtle and elegant, where notes of berries are linked to spicier aromas. On the palate it is full
- bodied, with a structure that relies on a fresh sip in which the tannic component is finely integrated. A label that interprets the red grape variety par excellence of the Langhe in a traditional and classic way, and which is recommended for all those who want to begin to approach the great Piedmontese reds.
