- AMARONE CLASSICO CORTE SAN BENEDETTO 2013 DESCRIPTION
- The Amarone Classico by Corte San Benedetto appears deep and complex after just a few sips, with a set of aromas on the nose that transport you with grace and elegance to one of the most interesting Italian areas for the production of great red wines for aging, Valpolicella. A particularly suited terroir, where the Corte San Benedetto winery is located, a family
- run production company founded quite recently, in 2006, but which already enjoys excellent prospects. We are faced with a soft and elegant red wine, where the native Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella vines express the splendid relationship between the grapes and the territory of Arbizzano di Negrar.
- The Amarone Classico red wine from the Corte San Benedetto winery comes from vines whose average age is around 30 years, grown on double pergolas in vineyards between 100 and 400 metres above sea level. After being manually harvested, the Corvina Veronese, Corvinone and Rondinella grapes are left to dry in the drying room for around 4 months; then we proceed with the alcoholic fermentation in steel, with a maceration of about 35 days and, finally, with the refinement, carried out both in tonneau and in Slavonian oak barrels.
- The Amarone Classico Corte San Benedetto presents itself in the glass with a tone that recalls intense garnet red. The set of aromas on the nose is varied, highlighting notes of fruit in alcohol, exotic spices and nuances of dried flowers. On the palate it shows all its greatness, with a broad and satisfying sip, dominated by an alluring and persuasive tannin and a sip decidedly balanced in all its components. A child prodigy that already gives emotions, but that in the future will amaze even more for its complexity and depth: try it and believe it.
