- quality ingredient: cedar peel. This ancient, large citrus fruit is originally from Asia Minor and arrived in Europe many centuries ago. It has adapted very well to the mild and sunny climate of the countries overlooking the Mediterranean Sea basin and still today represents a production of excellence. The ripe fruits are processed while still fragrant and the peel is macerated in a very pure cereal alcohol. At the end of the infusion, when all the aromas have been extracted, the distillation takes place. Before bottling, the alcohol content is lowered by adding only the purest water.
